Environmental Analysis of Namba Oi Mansion Style

We conducted an analysis and examination regarding summer (southwest wind) and winter (north wind).

The analysis of the wind environment around the Minami-Oi Mansion examined the impact on the wind environment in the surrounding area for a residential building located in the urban area of Ota Ward, Tokyo, during the summer (southwest wind) and winter (north wind). There have been frequent issues related to the wind environment (building wind) concerning the construction of relatively low-rise apartments, around 10 stories, primarily in Tokyo. The situation is such that a building of about 30 meters in scale is being constructed in an area densely populated with single-story buildings (around 6 meters high). Therefore, if the planned building is positioned in a way that obstructs the wind path of the block, there are concerns about the deterioration of the surrounding wind environment. Inclined apartment-style environmental analysis

Examining the difficult issues of a condominium built on a slope due to changes in the wind environment.

The purpose of wind environment analysis in sloped terrain is to examine some of the challenging issues that exist within wind environment analysis. Analyzing areas that include sloped and undulating terrain is one of these issues. The reason for this is that the differences in elevation between buildings and their foundations make it difficult to create analysis models. Another reason is the question of how to set the conditions for approaching wind on sloped terrain. As with analyses on flat land, a power-law distribution is generally used as the basis, but it is preferable to establish a distribution along the slope of the terrain. Furthermore, there is a need to set the height of the sky plane higher than in standard analyses. For more details, please download the catalog.

Analysis of the wind environment around the apartment complex.

An analysis of the summer and winter results was conducted for the apartment building located in the urban area.

The wind environment analysis around the condominium was conducted for condominium buildings located in urban areas, with results for summer (southwest wind) and winter (north wind). When constructing or expanding buildings in urban areas, the wind conditions within the site or surrounding area can change significantly. This is known as the wind environment (building wind) issue. Generally, an investigation is conducted on the changes in wind speed distribution caused by the presence of the planned building for all wind directions (8 or 16 directions), comparing it to the conditions before construction. For a simplified evaluation, analysis is conducted only for the prevailing winds of each season. For more details, please download the catalog.

Analysis of Wind Environment Around High-Rise Buildings

Investigating the changes in wind environment when high-rise buildings are constructed in areas with relatively open surroundings.

The analysis of the wind environment around high-rise buildings aims to investigate the degree of impact on the surrounding area, which inevitably increases. In urban areas, it is not uncommon for buildings over 100 meters in height to be constructed; however, in such cases, the impact on the wind environment (building wind) differs significantly compared to situations where relatively low-rise apartments are built in residential areas. For buildings exceeding 100 meters, the recirculation zones that appear on the approach (upwind) side and the wakes (downstream vortices) that occur behind them are naturally very large, resulting in a correspondingly significant impact on the surroundings. This analysis examined the changes in the wind environment when high-rise buildings are constructed in areas where the surrounding space is relatively open.
